Which country is the most miserable (and quit bitching, it's not us)?

2/20/2013

Arthur Okun's "misery index" analyzes a country's unemployment and inflation rates to provide a measurable reading of a country's woes. Business Insider crunched figures for 197 countries and territories and came up with the top 25. Twelve of the 25 countries are in Africa, and the rest are mainly in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Zimbabwe tops the list with 95 percent unemployment and 8.3 percent inflation, which adds up to a whopping 103 percent on the misery index (Liberia, pictured, comes in at No. 2 with a score of 90.5). Ponder this on your lunch break, and maybe hold back on that Facebook update about how rough you have it. [Source]
