Mother-daughter team cited for scamming lonely hearts
6/25/2012A mother-daughter team in Colorado is accused of engaging in a horrible scheme to yank money from lonely hearts who thought they were chatting on the Internet with U.S. soldiers stationed in Afghanistan. Tracy Vasseur and mom Karen Vasseur allegedly collected funds for the Nigeria-based schemers, who would ask victims for money to supposedly buy satellite phones and arrange for trips to visit the victims. The duo reportedly took up to a 10 percent cut for themselves and had 374 victims over a three-year period. Both face sentences of more than 170 years in jail if convicted. And if they're guilty, it's a shame they won't be able to serve all of them.
Devise a clever punishment for these two.
