Watch thieves on motorcycles smash up a jewelry store in mall robbery11/9/2012
Mall walkers and early-morning shoppers at north London's upscale Brent Cross shopping center got a six-wheeled shock when thieves on motorcycles rode into the mall, shattered the cases in a jewelry store and sped away with $3.1 million in merchandise. The six men were armed with axes and bats when they went on their smash-and-grab spree at Fraser Hart, apparently targeting the cases that held Rolex and Cartier watches. They then got back on their bikes, leaving shocked shoppers and broken glass behind them. Police officers discovered the abandoned bikes near a golf course but otherwise have no leads or suspects.
