Martha Reeves and the Vandellas revved up Motown with this video
12/19/2012The looks on the faces of the Mustang factory workers back in 1965 must have been priceless when Martha Reeves and her boisterous Motown girls showed up in skirts en masse (mostly unannounced) and started gyrating on the Mustang line. But the true beauty of this clip going viral today — aside from its cool glimpse inside an old-school car factory — is the staggering lack of safety precautions. A group of women turning up at an auto factory and climbing up on a moving, operational line without so much as a pair of safety goggles? Impossible today. This was back when merry-go-rounds and soda pops were still legal and folks buckled three kids in each seat belt.
