RIP, Mr. Teeth: Marijuana-guarding reptile dies

Oakland Zoo veterinarians have confirmed that "Mr. Teeth," the pot-guarding 5-foot alligator-like creature found by California police earlier this week, has died. Staff say they had taken blood samples from the dwarf caiman after his law-enforcement ordeal, and his chances didn't look good. He passed away early Thursday morning, though doctors aren't sure exactly why he was so sick. Police found Mr. Teeth apparently guarding 34 pounds of marijuana at the house of Assif Mayar in Castro Valley. Mayar claims he purchased the creature in 1996 to honor the death of rapper Tupac. [Source]
