Clean-cut contenders clean up at MTV Europe Music Awards

Has the world finally tired of Rihanna's endless in-your-face bad girl pastiche? Well it seems even laissez-faire Europe is over the try-hard seduction. Sunday night at the MTV European Music Awards the "good girl gone bad" lost all six awards she was nominated for, while squeaky-clean performers Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber crushed the flesh-flashing competition. The blond innocents won three awards each, including best female, best male, best look and best worldwide stage act. Other straight-laced award winners included Carly Rae Jepsen and One Direction. Maybe it's time for Riri & Co. to stop droning on about how naughty they are and start acting nice, or that trophy shelf will start looking barer than their bodies. [Source]
