MTV reportedly protects itself if 'Jersey Shore' stars get STDs
7/2/2012If the Situation were to get into a ... uh ... situation with an STD while filming "Jersey Shore," the trouble wouldn't spread to MTV. Journalist Seth Kaufman tells the New York Daily News that "Jersey Shore" has a "VD clause" written into cast members' contracts stipulating that producers are not responsible for any sexually transmitted diseases picked up by cast members during production. "It's pretty standard for reality shows," Kaufman says of the clause, which he says was passed to him by a "Jersey Shore" contact. MTV has not confirmed the report.
Would you sign a contract with an STD clause?
