A Catholic food drive in London, Ontario, got a massive boost from a perhaps-unlikely ally: members of a local mosque. “To us, the spirit of Christmas is the spirit of brotherly love, and why wouldn’t we want to be a part of it?” said Ali D. Chahbar, who helped organize the mosque's efforts. A representative from St. John the Divine Catholic Church said this year's food donations topped previous efforts — a tally that included 30 boxes of food collected by children at an Islamic school.
