Namath calls Tebow trade a ‘publicity stunt’
3/22/2012Not everybody in Jets country is loving Tim Tebow. NFL Hall of Famer Joe Namath, who led the team to its only Super Bowl victory way back in 1969, is not a fan. Before the trade was completed, "Broadway Joe" said he didn't want it to happen. "I am sorry, I do not agree with this situation," Namath told ESPN Radio. "I just think it's a publicity stunt. I really think it's wrong ... I don't think they know what they're doing over there right now." Looks like Joe is ripe for an awkward moment next time the team wants some publicity help from him.
How do you think Tebow will do in New York?
