Nancy Pelosi: I'm not too old for the job, whippersnapper

11/14/2012

NBC News' Luke Russert brought down hellfire and brimstone today when he asked 72-year-old Nancy Pelosi, who plans to continue in her position of House minority leader, if she was too old to hold on to her job in the Democratic leadership — and specifically whether it "hurts the party in the long term." Pelosi, flanked by female House members she dubbed her "sisters," did not enjoy the question. "Next!" the California congresswoman yelled out, as the Greek chorus called out "Discrimination!" Pelosi followed up: "You've always asked that question, except to Mitch McConnell." Maybe that's because the Senate minority leader is still wet behind the ears: He's 70. [Source]
