Hot space rumor: NASA planning more manned missions to the moon?!
11/8/2012Not to get anybody too excited but we have some seriously out-of-this-world news: Space.com reports NASA is considering manned missions to the moon. In past missions the moon served as a possibly the most expensive golf course imaginable (#Respect, Alan Shepard!) but in future moon missions it's speculated NASA may set up a manned outpost as a link in an ambitious visit to an asteroid in 2025 (and because how cool would it be to have humans on the moon all the time? We would follow their Twitter like no other.) It's further speculated the Obama administration has already OK'd the plans, but kept them under wraps until after the election. [Source]
