NASA photos show incredible Martian landscape at sunset

5/26/2012

The American space program may be in trouble, but we're still capable of some pretty amazing stuff -- like these pictures of sunset on Mars, sent back to Earth by a NASA rover. The Opportunity Rover landed on Mars eight years ago, and even though it was only expected to be operational for 90 days, it has continued to send back data and images. Taken in March, the images were only released by NASA this week. And we can expect more to come, as the solar-powered vehicle remains on the job.
