Navy SEAL dies in Afghanistan in apparent suicide

12/24/2012

The leader of an elite Navy SEAL unit has died in Afghanistan of an apparent suicide. Job Price, a 42-year-old father, was discovered in his quarters after he didn't show up for a scheduled event on Saturday. Price, who had been a naval officer since 1993, was the commander of SEAL Team Four and was stationed in the Uruzgan Province in central Afghanistan. "The Naval Special Warfare family is deeply saddened by the loss of our teammate," Captain Robert Smith said. "As we mourn the loss and honor [his] memory, those he served with will continue to carry out the mission." A Navy SEAL spokesman did not comment, as Price's death is under investigation. [Source]
