7 members of Navy SEAL Team 6 in big trouble over video game
11/9/2012Getting in trouble over a video game seems like something that happens to sullen teenagers, not Navy SEAL Team 6. But seven members of the elite force (including one who participated in the Osama bin Laden raid) were disciplined for serving as paid consultants for the "Medal of Honor: Warfighter" game. The sailors were fined two months' pay and given letters of reprimand, which are known as "career enders" because they typically prevent the recipient from being promoted. "We do not tolerate deviations from the policies that govern who we are and what we do," Rear Adm. Garry Bonelli said. "[These punishments] send a clear message … that we are and will be held to a high standard of accountability." [Source]
