NBA fans on the warpath over taunting T-shirt
5/22/2012Fans of the now-defunct Seattle SuperSonics likely weren't celebrating when the Oklahoma City Thunder ousted the Lakers from the playoffs last night. The Thunder, of course, moved from the Emerald City back in 2008, a move that Warpaint, an Oklahoma City clothing company, celebrated with a T-shirt that had the Sonics logo on the front with "OKC Thunder" written under it. On the back, it read, "Thanks, Seattle." Well, the company has now stopped selling the shirt due to death threats it's been receiving recently from "fans" of the game. "Put your energy into something positive," Warpaint tweeted. Like getting another NBA team to move to Seattle.
Is the T-shirt offensive to Seattle or funny?
