Delta passengers dine on turkey and needle sandwiches

7/17/2012

Passengers on four Delta flights from Amsterdam to the U.S. on Sunday were served an unusual sandwich filling — sewing needles. The airline says the needles were found in six turkey sandwiches on the various flights and that one passenger was injured, but didn’t seek medical attention. Delta doesn’t know how the needles made their way into the sandwiches, which were prepared by a catering company in Amsterdam, or whether the incident was a deliberate intent to harm or just a mishap. The passengers, who were on their way to either Minneapolis, Seattle or Atlanta, were rewarded for their trauma with pizza instead. [Source]
