New book claims link between Castro and Kennedy murder
3/19/2012According to a new book, Fidel Castro knew President Kennedy was going to be assassinated, reports the Miami Herald. Written by a former CIA analyst named Brian Latell, "Castro's Secrets - The CIA and Cuba's Intelligence Machine" cites declassified US documents, as well as original interviews with defected Cuban spies, and claims that Fidel didn't just make a few prescient guesses, but ordered spies to stop listening on CIA signals and instead zero in on radio feeds coming out of Texas the day of Kennedy's assassination. The book further reveals that Castro admitted to a "deeply embedded FBI spy" that Oswald had threatened Kennedy's life during a visit to the Cuban embassy in Mexico.
