New Hampshire elects a man-free congressional delegation
11/7/2012When the people of New Hampshire elected Democrats Ann McLane Kuster and Carol Shea-Porter to the House of Representatives on Tuesday, they created history. This means the Granite State will be served by an all-female congressional delegation when the 113th Congress convenes in January 2013. The pair will join incumbents Jeanne Shaheen (D) and Kelly Ayotte (R), who represent the state in the Senate. In addition, the New Hampshire governor’s seat was won by former state Senate Majority Leader Maggie Hassan. [Source]
