The colon-parentheses smiley has saved many a digital message from friendship-ending misinterpretation. But the fact is our daily writing (or what passes for it in emails, texts and tweets) is sadly in need of new punctuation. CollegeHumor's Mike Trapp has tweaked a few current markings and created his own, and the result is more clarity, flexiblity and fun.
