University of California swaps hideous new logo for boring old logo

Just days after the University of California system proudly announced it was replacing its classic century-old seal with a weird logo that featured a giant gradient "C" on what looks a lot like a toilet tank, they've announced they're scrapping the instantly-despised design, which, embarrassingly, was developed in-house. The defunct logo will still appear on some paper materials that have already been printed, but will eventually be eradicated and expunged from memory and never spoken of again, though the transition back "is not going to happen overnight.
