Liberal NYC was even crazier for Obama than we could have imagined

1/10/2013

Looks like there's something to that idea of the New York City liberal: President Obama claimed a record 81 percent of the vote there, topping a 114-year-old record. In fact, a final tally of Obama's score over challenger Mitt Romney is the highest since the advent of the modern-day city in 1898, when its five boroughs were consolidated. Obama improved on his 2008 showing, when he won 79 percent of the vote. The vote wasn't uniform from borough to borough: Obama took a whopping 91 percent of the vote in the Bronx, while comparably conservative Staten Island only provided a 51 percent return. [Source]
