New York Mets are so amazin’ that poll forgets they exist

The expectation coming into the baseball season was that the New York Mets would find countless new ways to stink. But while the team has played well enough to settle into third place, they're still getting automatically written off. During a TV broadcast of a Braves-Diamondbacks game this weekend, a poll asked viewers to text who they thought was the best team in the National League East. The poll didn't even bother to include the Mets on the list (there are only five teams in the division). Looks like Mr. Met better start knocking some heads to get a little respect for the perpetually maligned team.
