8/5/2012We’re betting this won’t be coming to an American school any time soon. Kids at the Uruti School in New Zealand hosted an annual fundraising pig hunt. And that’s not the weird part: As part of the pig hunt festivities, students participated in a contest that involved dressing dead possums in bizarre costumes -- including, but not limited to, a boxing possum, an artist possum, and a dead-possum bride. While New Zealand’s Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals tut-tutted, the school raised over $8,000 -- twice what it had hoped to bring in. [Source]
