Life can imitate art, but this is ridiculous. A Danish TV news operation is blushing, after accidentally using a videogame image to illustrate a story about Syria. According to Reddit user (and Danish translator) Jeltown, TV2 of Denmark was reporting on priceless artifacts being removed from Syria as its civil war worsens. The image used for the story? A still from the video game "Assassins Creed," an incredibly detailed adventure set in the Holy Land during the Crusades. This is either a subtle meta-comment on the nature of war, digital culture and the Middle East today, or some epic laziness. [Source]
