Newscaster who called Maddow an 'angry young man' is back on the air

Cincinnati-area newscaster Tricia Macke was back at the newsdesk after a two-day suspension for comments she posted about MSNBC host Rachel Maddow. "Rachel Maddow is such an angry young man," she wrote on Facebook Oct. 12; when commenters started calling her out on it, she snarkily responded, "I am sorry, I should've said antagonistic." After the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation alerted Ohio's Fox 19, both the station and Macke released official, nonsarcastic apologies. "I apologize to Ms. Maddow and any others who may have been offended by my comments, as they do not reflect my firm beliefs in individual and equal rights," Macke wrote.
