A slavery debate wouldn't keep NFL player from Chick-fil-A
8/4/2012Detroit Lions linebacker Justin Durant hadn't even heard about Chick-fil-A's gay marriage controversy until a few days ago, and then he had to wonder what the fuss was about. "Chick-fil-A not even open on Sunday how people shocked that the owner feels that way?" he tweeted. But when he was asked if he'd boycott his favorite chicken chain if the CEO came out for slavery, it was Durant who stirred up a fuss. "Chicken too tasty," he joked. The Twitter-storm that ensued left Durant in more of a "SMH" state than a regretful one. "Is it safe for me in these streets?" he joked. [Source]
