NFL scout calls prospect weak for being 'raised by women'
4/23/2012If you want to be taken seriously as a football player, don't be "raised by women." An NFL scout who noted that offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele grew up in the company of females has asked, "How tough could he be?" That's just one idiotic dispatch from a collection of anonymous scouting reports on the NFL draft brought to us by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Bob Ginn.
There's also this disparaging note on Jonathan Martin of Stanford: "One scout said Martin's father was a college professor and his mother was an attorney." Their families must be so ashamed! Unless they were raised by women and were taught that such things were good and have zero to do with playing football.
Should a prospect's home life be fair game in the draft?
