12/21/2012The NHL has announced on its official website that more than half of the 2012-13 schedule will be dropped due to "the absence of a new Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players' Association and the NHL." The cancellation of games from October 11 applies through January 14, affecting 625 regular season games, or 50.8 percent.
