No Doubt pulls new Native American-themed video after backlash

It's surprising no one saw this coming at the video pitch meeting. No Doubt have withdrawn their latest music video after it received a torrent of backlash for its use of Native American imagery. The clip for "Looking Hot" features the band dressed up in Native American-inspired outfits and frontwoman Gwen Stefani being tied to a pole by cowboys. It also features a battle scene between the band’s "Indians" and their cowboy hat-wearing foes. The video was removed from YouTube and other sites, and the band released a statement saying, "Although we consulted with Native American friends and Native American studies experts at the University of California, we realize now that we have offended people."
