North Korea calls South Korea's Christmas tower psychological warfare

12/24/2012

It's on – Christmas style. North Korea is accusing South Korea of engaging in psychological warfare by putting a 100-foot Christmas tower on the frontline between the two countries. The tower has been decorated like a Christmas tree and features more than 30,000 light bulbs lit by Christian groups. North Korean media said South Korea lit the tower because it had been humiliated by the North's successful launch of a satellite nearly two weeks ago. The reclusive Communist country issued threats of unspecific consequences over the tower, but South Korea plans to turn the lights off anyway on Jan. 2. [Source]
