North Korea seriously thinks it's found an ancient unicorn lair
11/30/2012Breaking news out of North Korea today: The government's official news agency has reported that archaeologists have discovered a unicorn lair belonging to King Tongmyong, the founder of the ancient Korean kingdom of Koguryo. The one-horned hideout, which the "scientists" say dates back to A.D. 1392, was "a relief palace for King Tongmyong [and] the lair of his unicorn." The site, located just 220 yards from a temple in Pyongyang, was marked with a rock that said "Unicorn Lair." Aaaaand here's where we get skeptical. A clearly labeled unicorn cave that goes unnoticed for more than 600 years? Um, North Korea, are you sure you didn't just accidentally wander into a Spencer’s Gifts? [Source]
