Woman accused of cruelly cashing in on Sandy Hook tragedy
12/28/2012A woman from New York City is facing charges that she tried to scam money out of donors by posing as the aunt of 6-year-old Noah Pozner, one of the children killed in the Sandy Hook shootings. Nouel Alba, 37, was arrested on Thursday and accused of using text messages, telephone calls and her Facebook account to con donations for a "funeral fund" for Noah. It's also alleged that Alba told one person she visited the Newtown school to identify her nephew's body, and another scammed donor says Alba claimed to have hugged President Obama during his visit to Newtown. If convicted, Alba could spend up to five years in the slammer. [Source]
