Pampered pony gets rescued by three dozen firefighters

1/29/2013

Nova the pony may be the luckiest pony on Earth -- because he had the good fortune to fall down a well in 21st-century Somerset, England, and not, say, the fictional medieval landscape of "Game of Thrones," where he would have been used as (a) food or (b) target practice. Nearly three dozen rescue personnel and two fire trucks responded to the call to rescue Nova, who was stuck eight feet down and up to his chest in water. Luckily, he'd fallen on his feet, rather than on his back -- so the unflappable pony was retrieved with specialized lifting equipment and returned to the surface, uninjured. [Source]
