I am genuinely shocked that LaPierre's solution isn't to arm the children themselves.
Maybe it won't be so bad, in Harry Potter they gave all the students weapons and they did OK.

None of the characters even HAVE guns!) and movies and pretty much everything BUT guns for gun deaths in America, Twitter was exploding into a collective eyeroll. Everyone from Rachel Maddow to Michael Bloomberg has weighed in, and the response has, so far, been a resounding "WTF?!" "I think the NRA press conference is what the Mayans had in mind when they said the world would come to an end today," Mark Cuban tweeted.
