NRA goes silent on Sandy Hook, no Twitter or Facebook

12/17/2012

Looks like the NRA is on board with the "Now isn't the time to talk about gun control" thing. Quashing discussions of any kind, the organization has gone silent in the wake of the Sandy Hook massacre, unpublishing its Facebook page, and ceasing tweeting altogether. Last week's string of celebratory right to bear arms tweets and shout outs for civilians scaring off bad guys with personal pistols suddenly went cold on Dec. 14, just one day after jubilantly announcing, "Our #facebook page reached 1.7 million 'likes' today!" OK, NRA, don't talk to the press; but with tweets like @JayandSteve's, "Hey @NRA why aren't you speaking?" and @MissBaileyWoof's "@NRAwaitingwaitingwaitingwaitingwaitingwaitingwaiting," you're going to have to tweet back sooner or later.
