According to sources, NYPD officers have just been told that making fun of those with red hair is a form of discrimination, because redheads are often of Irish or Scottish descent. Justine Lisser of the EEOC in Washington, D.C., explains, "It's an innocuous-seeming criteria, but if it has a 'disparate impact' on a certain racial group, red hair could be considered the basis of discrimination."
