NYPD now on the lookout for city's off-their-meds mentally ill
2/18/2013Even seen-it-all New Yorkers tuned into the news after two recent, high-profile subway slayings in which cops say that mentally ill individuals pushed bystanders onto the tracks. Now, according to the New York Post, the city has composed a "most wanted" list of the 25 "most dangerous mental-health patients that currently have mental-hygiene warrants" out for them. The people on the list are being sought for refusing to comply with their court-ordered treatment, not for committing a crime. "They're just trying to get these people help," the source said.
