NYSE gets a lot less stuffy as tutu-wearing men ring bell for Xmas Eve

12/24/2012

Well, that's something you don’t see every day. The New York Stock Exchange is typically a scene overrun with stuffy black suits and dry, Wall Street trader types, but the financial showground got a little Christmas Eve zest this morning as a group of tutu-wearing men donning pink makeup and ballerina garb descended upon the trading center to give the bell its morning ring. The conspicuous-looking fellows were part of Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, an all-male ballet troupe, promoting an upcoming stint at the Joyce Theatre. [Source]
