Murder case uncovers plot to kill Obama, overthrow government

Four soldiers in Georgia formed an anarchist militia within the military and had plans to take over a military base, carry out bombings and even assassinate President Obama, according to prosecutors. The plot was revealed after Pfc. Michael Burnett pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges in the death of fellow Army member Michael Roark, who they say was killed for knowing of the plan. The group had allegedly purchased $87,000 in guns and explosive materials in a plot to take over Ft. Stewart in Georgia and bomb targets in South Carolina and Washington state. [Source]
