Obama calls Kanye West a 'jackass' — again
4/12/2012Some things never change, including President Obama's view of Kanye West, apparently. In the May 2012 issue of The Atlantic, the commander in chief once again insults the rapper, echoing the words he spoke more than two years ago after the hip-hop artist stormed the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards' stage during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech.
In the Atlantic article, Obama tells reporter David Samuels he likes Kanye, and Samuels responds: "Even though you called him a jackass?" "He is a jackass," the president replies. "But he's talented." The prez also reveals to Samuels that he prefers Jay-Z to Kanye. Oooh, diss.
