Obama campaign says skip the wedding gifts: Donate instead

Skip the wedding registry at Target or Bed, Bath & Beyond: President Obama wants you to register with his 2012 campaign instead. His campaign team today introduced a new — and already controversial — fundraising scheme, asking you to kindly say just say 'no' to wedding or birthday gifts and instead redirect your guests to the Obama 2012 campaign fund. Predictably, this drastic measure to raise money has brought all the Obama critics out of the woodwork, and together, they're eagerly offering up some of their own #ObamaFundraisingIdeas. While the majority oozes with irreverence, a handful of them (@JeromeEHudson suggests a "Joe Biden Comedy Tour") don't sound half bad.
