Obama gives fifth-grader the best absence excuse note ever
6/2/2012In the realm of air-tight absentee notes, few beat a personal message from the president of the United States. While visiting Minneapolis on Friday, where he addressed employees at the Honeywell factory, President Obama presented fifth-grader Tyler Sullivan with the mother of all teacher's notes. Tyler got to coast into the event on the coattails of his father Ryan, who had the honor of introducing the president. We hope that Mr. Ackerman, the teacher addressed in the note, will accept a digital photo of the excuse, as prudence demands that Tyler frame the original and store it somewhere safe.
