President Obama hit all the marks in his inauguration speech — all the liberal marks, that is. Following his swearing-in, the president embarked on a speech that addressed climate change, said programs like Medicare "strengthen us" and named the Stonewall riots alongside civil rights events like the Selma marches in a reference to societal struggles for equality. The president's speech was also the first to mention gay marriage, with Obama telling the crowd, "Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law."
