Obama salutes 'world-shocker' Muhammad Ali
2/19/2012President Obama called former heavyweight champ Muhammad Ali "something spectacular" in a birthday video shout-out Saturday. "You shocked the world, and you inspired it, too," Obama said, as reported by the Associated Press. "And even after all the titles and legendary bouts, you're still doing it." The message was part of the festivities for a 2,000-seat fundraiser for brain research. It took place one month after Ali, who has Parkinson's disease, turned 70. Attendees of the gala included NFL Hall of Famer Jim Brown, tennis star Andre Agassi, supermodel Cindy Crawford, boxer Manny Pacquiao and actor Samuel L. Jackson.
