Obama's baseball joke gets booed at Boston fundraiser
6/26/2012When you're busy fundraising for re-election, it's obviously not wise to stir up the paying audience with cheap sporting wisecracks. But while attending a dinner in Boston last night, a mischievous President Obama had no hesitation in "thanking" Red Sox fans for trading infielder Kevin Youkilis to his favorite team, the Chicago White Sox. The remark brought some playful boos from the audience as the president jokingly protested, "I'm just saying he's going to have to change the color of his socks." As the boos continued, a laughing Obama admitted "I guess I should not have brought up baseball. I understand. My mistake. You gotta know your crowd." You think?
