Old guy crossing jail off bucket list says max security was a 'picnic'
3/11/2013When retired school teacher and former Marine Obie Cargile, 71, was pulled over in Cincinnati for an improper taillight, he expected to be let off with a warning. He'd had those lights for 10 years with no problems and he had a blemish-free record. Instead, the cop handed him a fine. Awesomely, Cargile chose not to cough up, electing instead to serve time in prison to pay his $160 debt to society. Due to lack of space, he wound up in maximum security, but Cargile still described his two-and-a-half days served as an "unadulterated picnic." "I had a good time," he said, adding that once you've been in the Marines, anything looks good. [Source]
