Study shows office gossip is good for making lazy employees feel bad

Amsterdam University produces more than just novelty T-shirts for jet-setting stoners. Research psychologists at the university have published a paper that details the benefits of office gossip. According to their study of 220 people and their reasons for gossiping, it seems it helps a team isolate slackers who, fearing more bitching, will pick up their game thereby increasing overall efficiency.
