3/26/2012The New Black Panthers have a $10,000 bounty on Trayvon Martin's alleged shooter, but the Huey P. Newton Foundation, which says it represents the "original vision and history of the Black Panther Party," is having none of it. In a letter, the group states, "The Black Panthers were never a group of angry young militants full of fury toward the 'white establishment'" and states that they operated "on love for black people, not hatred of white people." Although the original group's mission is now up for renewed debate, the chilling "Wanted" poster of George Zimmerman on the New Black Panthers' website may be hard to reconcile with any message of empowerment.
