Old van decorated by Kurt Cobain up for bid on eBay
3/7/2012If there is anything the Internet has taught us, it's that people will buy most anything on eBay if it has a connection with a famous person. Even a beat-up Dodge van. In this case, the "Melvan," a 1972 Dodge Sportsman Royal that was once the touring vehicle for the Melvins, a band that heavily influenced grunge. A young fan named Kurt Cobain drew a mural of KISS on the van, and also drove the band to shows. The current owner received the van in 1992 as a gift from the mother of one of the Melvins. Bidding on the van closes March 13.
