The pope is no longer going to be a part of this elite OLD-boys' club

2/12/2013

Eighty-five might seem like a good age to hang up the pointy hat and hit the deck for some sundown shuffleboard, but it's interesting to note that compared to some world leaders, Pope Benedict XVI is a Spring chicken. With the president of Israel, Shimon Peres now 89, and Queen Elizabeth 86, Benedict XVI is only the seventh oldest living leader in the world. Meanwhile young firebrand, Kim Jong-un, Supreme Leader of Rockets That Don't Work, at 29, is the youngest. For those who think the Pope is welching, bear in mind that the applications for that job go directly to God, so presumably He's signed off on the gold watch too.
